Having just returned from New Orleans and the annual convention, I can only say thank goodness for Professional Photographers of America.  We have an incredible organization that works hard for us--the dedicated professional photographers.  There are so many photographers now claiming to be professional, but the true test is in the details.

1.  A professional will be there for you, and answer the phone when you call.

2.  A professional photographer will know how to use their camera, and how to light and pose you for the most flattering image.

3.  Your child/ren will be lovingly taken through the photo session and possibly even want to stay for more when it is time to go home. 

4.  Your beautiful images will be color corrected and carefully retouched.  

5.  You will be treated with dignity and respect.   

6.  A professional photographer will charge a fair price in order to keep the doors open and to be there for you when you are ready for your next session.

7.  A professional photographer will continue to advance their knowlege of the art and technique of photography as well as keeping up with the latest trends.

This is what I believe a true professional should be.  This is why I love being a Professional Photographer!
