Karen Rubin

Since 1984, Karen Rubin has been capturing first moments and family milestones for clients who see life as fine art.  Today, with an abundance of photographers specializing in children's images, Karen is even more intent on identifying the spark of individuality in each person that will separate the finished portrait from the typical and trendy.  The result is portraiture that makes a clear statement about the personality and essence of the person.  Her portraits avoid gimmicks and special effects in favor of something far more satisfying:  dynamic expression and composition sprinkled with delicate simplicity.  Her work is a breath of fresh air--it reflects a personal style that is incredibly successful and almost instantly identifiable.

Karen received her Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographer's of America (PPA).   She also holds their Photographic Craftsman degree and she is a Certified Professional Photographer.  Karen serves on the Ethics Committee for Professional Photographers of Colorado.  Awards received include six prestigious Kodak Gallery Awards, four Fuji Masterpiece Awards and the National Award from PPA, a special honor in recognition of outstanding service to professional photography.  Karen is a PPA Affiliate Judge and is a popular speaker on baby & child photography.
